18 DAYS
BIKING, WHITEWATER RAFTING, ROPES COURSE, TRAIL RIDING, CANOEING
Everything that makes a bike trip so special - the travel, seeing new places, the accomplishment of doing it under your own power, the fun, the challenge - combined with the excitement of doing several other sports as well, gives this trip its own special spirit.

Rafting and Rivers
Your trip starts off in high gear with a whitewater rafting adventure on the beautiful Deerfield River, where the class II and III rapids are ideal for beginner and intermediate rafters. Your guides will help the group run the rafts through exciting Zoar Gap and along the unspoiled valley, stopping at a state forest for a picnic lunch. After lunch you can swim in the river as you raft back to basecamp.
Biking, Ropes Course, and Trail Riding
Biking through Vermont's winding green valleys, your group will pass brooks and rivers, covered bridges, and lots of places to stop and swim. Enjoy ice cream breaks in picturesque New England villages, picnic in a gazebo on a village green, and arrange a photo of your group standing next to a cow. Your group will spend an afternoon learning to negotiate high and low ropes, working as a team to get to your goal in the next tree. After a few days of biking, swimming, and exploring, your group will take a break to saddle up and explore the backcountry by horseback. Out on the trail, your guide will take the group to spectacular mountain views, through high pastures, and along forest trails. Back at the 2000 acre ranch, you can feed carrots to the ranchÕs ponies and watch riders practice barrel racing.
Gondola and Canoeing
In Killington, your group will ride the gondola to the top of the mountain (bring your camera!). You'll camp out on the shore of a mountain lake and on the shore of the Connecticut River. Your group will have time to explore neat shops in several quaint towns along the route, swim in waterfalls, and play frisbee in alpine meadows.
The last days of this activity-filled trip include an afternoon of canoeing down a pristine stretch of the Connecticut River, past mountains and under a covered bridge. This part of the river has almost no motorized boating, so canoeists enjoy watching ducks, herons, and other wildlife. The last cycling day brings you to the picture-perfect town of Hanover, New Hampshire, where your group can explore the campus of Dartmouth College and do some shopping.
